The serrated blade of the Samura Bread Knife Bamboo is, of course, purely utilitarian. As well as slicing easily through your bloomer, baguette or batch loaf, this knife is equally at home with foods having a soft or juicy core, but a hard crust or skin, including pastry, citrus fruits, pineapple, watermelon, etc. Undulating and very sharp teeth delicately saw the crust or skin, without crushing or crumbling the tender core.
A long but thin single-layer blade has proven itself ideal for processing foodstuffs of all sizes. It is perfectly balanced with a “reptilian” decorated handle which would grace any kitchen.
The blade is formed from AUS-8 steel which contains molybdenum (MO) helping to prevent corrosion, and vanadium (V) improving resistance to high temperatures.
